The unfairness of being inactive
Being physically active brings benefits that extend beyond health, helping people build relationships, feel part of their community and live well. Yet opportunities for daily movement are not distributed equally, leaving too many people excluded from these benefits.
This Leap partner event will explore the social, organisational and environmental conditions that shape people’s experiences of being physically active. Through practical examples, interactive breakout sessions and shared discussion, we will consider the different levers partners can influence, from leadership and policy to new community roles and the improvement of parks and community spaces.
Why attend?
The event is an opportunity to learn from work already happening across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and across the country, make new connections with partners who can help you achieve your ambitions and identify practical actions that can help create fairer opportunities for people to lead an active lifestyle.
As always, there’ll be time to network with a range of partners before and after the main session, including over lunch.
