The Live Longer Better Inclusion Network brings together partners working across physical activity, health, social care and community services with a shared focus on active ageing and inclusion.
The network is shaped by the national Live Longer Better mission: to help people live well for longer, increase healthy life expectancy, and reduce the amount of time people spend in poor health or relying heavily on care towards the end of life. Alongside this, the network places a strong emphasis on improving inclusion for disabled people, recognising the need to remove barriers to participation and ensure that sport, physical activity and community opportunities are accessible, welcoming and meaningful for everyone. A core focus is also to reduce inequalities, narrowing the gap in health outcomes between the most and least deprived communities.
The Live Longer Better Inclusion Network will be combining partners from Live Longer Better, Activity for All Alliance and the Children and Young People (CYP) SEND network, creating a more connected and inclusive space for shared learning, insight, and action.
This refreshed structure reflects our commitment to a lifetime approach to physical activity, health and wellbeing. By creating stronger links between the networks, partners will benefit from broader perspectives, improved alignment of priorities, and more opportunities to collaborate across sectors.
Our meetings will follow a simple annual cycle of three sessions, an in-person meeting in July, supported by two virtual sessions in the following months
