Barclays Community Football Fund

Barclays believe in creating opportunities for all through access to football. Through the Barclays Community Football Fund, we want to grow participation in football at every level.

The programme offers community groups the opportunity to access funding, resources and training, to make football more accessible in communities across the UK.

Grantees of the Barclays Community Football Fund will also have exclusive access to Premier League and Barclays FA Women’s Super League match tickets, opportunities for mascot and player appearances, as well as the chance to take part in exciting promotional activities!

The Barclays Community Football Fund is all about inclusion and we want to award funding to groups that are running football activities for one or more of the following underrepresented groups; women and girls; and young people with disabilities, from racially diverse communities, from the LGBTQ+ community and from lower socio-economic groups.

Who is eligible to apply?

This fund is for new groups who have not already received a grant from the Barclays Community Football Fund. Groups who have already received funding should look at the other opportunities available for existing grantees.

We welcome applications from not-for-profit organisations including community groups, youth groups and traditional football clubs. Groups must meet the following criteria:

  • You deliver football activities to young people under the age of twenty-five, or you are wanting to start.
  • You already include an offering for girls, or you are wanting to start delivering girls’ football.
  • You have the aspiration and capacity to grow your membership of young people from underrepresented groups.
  • You are keen to learn more about how your organisation can engage with new, underrepresented audiences.
