Grants are available for charitable organisations in England and Wales facilitating social welfare or recreation activities.
The grant is intended to support registered charities that work in the following areas:
- Education.
- Poverty relief.
- Recreation.
- Social welfare.
- Support of older people and disadvantaged people.
Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees and there are no minimum or maximum limits for any grants.
Previous grants have been for between £500 and £100,000.
The trustees are interested in who else is supporting the project, the amounts raised and if there are any application requests outstanding or in the pipeline. Groups should be seeking other funding.
Charitable organisations operating in England and Wales are eligible to apply.
Funding will only be given to individuals under exceptional circumstances.
Costs associated with eligible projects that are related to social welfare or recreation.
Unless there are exceptional circumstances salaries or core costs are not supported, the trustees prefer to assist with funding for specific projects.
The aim of the charity is to offer grants to registered charities seeking to raise the quality of life, particularly for those who are young, disadvantaged, deprived, disabled or elderly. Grants are usually confined to specific items or projects in England and Wales and settled after the purchase has been confirmed.
