The event gives students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) opportunities they may not usually receive. Through improved confidence, young people develop skills that aid their life chances and future employment.
We welcomed pupils from the following schools in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes:
Alfriston School, Beaconsfield
Shenley Brook End School, Milton Keynes
Sir Herbert Leon Academy, Milton Keynes
Slated Row School, Milton Keynes
The Mandeville School, Aylesbury
In smaller groups, students took part in interactive sessions with Ruel DaCosta, Portia Simond, Harriet Olliffe and Tom Davis and education programme Base.
On the following day, an Opportunities Fair enabled participants to consider how they may put their new found skills into practice
