Improving lives after lockdown

Like so many things, we’ve had to adapt to the Coronavirus Pandemic and our partners forum will now be virtual. Whilst we couldn’t meet face to face, we still held an online session for updates and opportunities as well as the chance to network with other partners.

Sport England Community Emergency Fund and Moving our Communities Fund (Andrea Healy – Leap)
Andrea will provide an overview of the funding allocated to Bucks & MK organisations from the Sport England Community Emergency Fund.

Followed by an introduction to the Moving our Communities Fund, launching to support community deliverers, clubs and groups to address the immediate effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on activity levels within identified priority groups.

Time to connect, listen and share. (Chris Gregory – Leap)
We will break out into smaller rooms depending on numbers and capture the challenges we are all facing currently and where possible offer advice and support.

If we hear common themes and consistent challenges we will feed this back into local and national conversations with Sport England, the Active Partnership Network and local authority planning groups with the aim of offering support and solutions where possible.
